Celtic Wildcat is 36 foot long catamaran with a 16 foot beam which is an ideal stable platform for both exploring the local fishing spots and for catching a variety of species. We aim to give you an enjoyable days fishing with a friendly and experienced skipper who knows the sea, the fishing and.........how to make a good cup of tea!
Aberystwyth - In the spring we are now operating out of Aberystwyth targeting Tope and Bream though that is not all that is caught in Cardigan Bay other species include Bullhuss, Thornback Ray and offshore wrecks produce plenty of Pollack.

Milford Haven
We can offer all year around fishing, inshore in the Haven or offshore, there is always a good variety of fish to be caught. It is not uncommon to have more than 10 different species on board on the same day.

Reef Fishing
Conger, Ling, Bull Huss, Pollack, Codling, Wrasse, Coalies Some of the species we catch whilst at anchor or drifting or anchoring onover rough ground and reefs
Sand Bank
Turbot, Ray, Plaice, Dabs, Gurnard, Bass, Spur Dog and Tope.
Our inshore trip is a 10 hour day during which we try to give you a variety of fishing locations (rough ground and sandbank) at anchor or drifting.

You may want to specialise
Bass
One of our prized species - especially fond of live sand eel (which can be stored live on board). Best time for Bass is July onwards Inshore.
Hats and Barrels
There is an area of reefs and rocky outcrops off the West coast of Pembrokeshire called `The Smalls Hats, and Barrels` the depths vary from 50 metres to 2 metres and you will be fishing over some huge sub sea pinnacles. This area can only be fished on tides up to 6 metres in height and is prolific fishing for Pollack, Coalies, Codling and Mackerel. This is a day mainly of drift fishing, but we can drop the anchor and fish the bottom for a short while at slack water.
Wreck Fishing
This is a developing section of our business where we are now travelling anything up to 50 miles offshore in the Atlantic Ocean or St George`s Channel to locate wrecks for fishing. Most of the catches so far have been Pollack up to 16lb but we are sure that there are bigger fish to be had. Ling have also been caught on the wrecks. Best time for conger off wrecks is late Summer and into the Autumn months.
Shark Fishing
July to Mid October is the best time for Shark fishing. We start the day by catching fresh mackerel and whist traveling to the fishing grounds we make up our rubby-dubby (not for the faint hearted). The main species caught are Blue Shark (best so far 180Lb) and Porbeagle ( best so far 140Lb).
This is a very much more specialised sport which needs planning and preparation for at least a 12 hour day which takes you 25 miles or more offshore. If you are interested in Shark fishing it is best to give us a call to discuss tackle etc.
