Creators on Tik Tok are always coming up with fun recipes and trending tik tok recipes are normally pretty amazing and super easy to make! So, when I saw this one floating around on a couple of different videos, I knew that I wanted to give it a try.
After trying it, I knew I had to share it with y’all.
You might think that this is super odd when you first take a look at it. I get it. I did too. I thought that crisping pasta into pasta chips in the air fryer just couldn’t work the way they were saying it would. Well it did! It worked and it’s pretty dang good!
I made mine using dry Rotini pasta but you could really use any kind of dry pasta to make these chips! They’re crisp and perfect for dipping.
My husband is currently sitting on the couch snacking on them while watching a movie. They may be his new favorite crispy snack!

- dry Rotini pasta

- Badia’s Complete Seasoning* (or your favorite seasoning blend)
- Pasta sauce

You can change this snack up with your favorite pasta shape and seasonings
How to make Tik Tok Pasta Chips:
Time needed:30 minutes
- Cook Pasta to al dente
Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil.
Add pasta and cook for 10 minutes.
Drain pasta. - Seasonings
Add olive oil to pasta and stir.
Add in cheese and seasoning and stir. - Crisp it up in the air fryer
Add 1/2 of the pasta to the basket of an air fryer.
Air Fry at 400F for 10 minutes – 15 minutes, stirring or shaking the basket every few minutes until pasta is crispy.
DON’T FORGET TO STIR IT OR YOU WILL GET BURNT PASTA -
Pour onto a plate to cool.
Air Fry remaining pasta.
If you try to cook it all at once, it won’t crisp! -
Sprinkle with extra parmesan cheese and parsley if desired.
Serve with a dipping sauce.

Cook Time: 20 minutes
Total Time: 30 minutes

Ingredients
- 16 ounces dry Rotini pasta
- Salt
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
- 1 tablespoon Badia's Complete Seasoning*
- Pasta sauce, for dipping
Instructions
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil.
- Add pasta and cook for 10 minutes.
- Drain pasta.
- Add olive oil to pasta and stir.
- Add in cheese and seasoning and stir.
- Add 1/2 of the pasta to the basket of an air fryer.

*Badia's Complete Seasoning is the seasoning I like to use but you can use any seasoning.

Nope! This pasta is cooked and then crisped up! Don’t worry, you’re not going to be eating rock hard raw pasta!
How do I store pasta chips?
Store them in an air tight bag or container on the counter for up to 3-4 days.
What other pasta chip flavors can I make?
You could make ranch flavored pasta chips with ranch seasoning or taco pasta chips with taco seasoning. You could also use Italian seasoning on them or just salt and pepper! Old Bay seasoning on them would be great too!
My pasta isn’t getting crispy in the air fryer! What is wrong?
You probably have too much pasta in the air fryer! You need to work in batches unless you have a massive air fryer. You you want about 2 cups of pasta at a time.

I have an air fryer oven with slide out trays. How would I make these with that type of air fryer? The pasta looks and sounds delicious.

I would just pull the tray out (with an oven mit) every few minutes and shake it.
