"Very attractive looking appy! and good too. Had some ladies over for a "crafty evening", making little Christmas thingies, the spirals went over big, and the ladies took the recipe, from "Women's world"."

  1. Can these be frozen for a few days? Not sure about the cream cheese. But when I think about cheese cake, that freezes well, so I guess I answered my own question.

  1. Excellent! I wouldn't change a thing. However, I ended up using 3 tortillas. It's very important to not place the roast beef close to the edge because your rolls won't "seal" if you place it clear to the edge.

  2. Excellent! Must admit, at first I wondered about the necessity to drain the horseradish...gosh, was I surprised at the amount of liquid extracted! Still pondering what it could have been used for had I saved it. Addition to Bloody Mary? Zip up any smooth gravy/sauce? Au jus? Hmmmm.

  3. Easy, fast and do ahead. . . everything I like! I added some Dijon mustard as well and a little more horseradish than called for. Worked very well. I bet these would freeze well too??Thanks again Dorothy.

  4. I liked this very much. It tasted more like cream cheese than horseradish though. I'll make this again using more horseradish and less cream cheese. Update-I increased the horseradish to 3 tablespoons, decreased the cream cheese to 6 oz, and increased the stars to 5. Thanks again.

  5. A really good make-ahead appetizer. I added an extra tablespoon of horseradish, just because I love the stuff, and I ended up using 3 tortillas. Even MIL who's not overly fond of beef liked these.

  1. Excellent! I did make some minor changes, and they turned out great! I ended up using 3 tortillas, I used 3+ Tbs of horseradish, dried parsley and chopped red onion instead of green onions. The flavors went very well together! Made them the night before the party and cut them up right before the party and YUM!! Next time I'll grate the onion into the mixture since I didn't care for the crunch of the onion and I will add a bit more roast beef!

  2. Really good. Took to a casual dinner at a friend's house and they were the first thing gone. Only change was that I used arugula in place of parsley. I served with some horseradish sauce for dipping. Mine made 3 10 inch tortillas, but perhaps I didn't spread it thick enough. Will make again. Thanks.

  3. great appetizer. i used shallots instead of green onion, just a personal preference. thanks.

  4. A hit! I took this to a Christmas gathering and the hostess has made me promise to give her the recipe. Even my husband, who is wary of anything that contains cream cheese, liked these. Instead of flour tortillas, I used 4 thin, whole-grain flatbreads that rolled easily and put the emphasis on the filling.

  5. Really good!! I made these exactly to recipe and I think next time I will add fresh garlic instead of powdered and will increase the roast beef, using three tortillas instead of two. (The cheese mixture was a bit too much for only two tortillas.) This is a great appetizer and would make a good main dish sandwich, as well.
