Milk baths are a luxury for your skin so I encourage you to make up a big batch using powdered milk and use it regularly. Why are milk baths good for you? The fat and protein in themilk are wonderful skin moisturizers.

Do you shower after a milk bath?

You really should take a very quick, light rinse in cool water after a milk bath. Milk residue can be a bit sticky on the skin if left there after your milk bath. Don’t use soap and don’t make the water too hot or you will strip away the natural oils in your skin.

Lavender DIY oatmeal milk bath recipe ingredients

For the salt in this homemade milk bath, you can use Epsom salts or coarse sea salt, which is what I chose to use. A high-quality sea salt provides a ton of minerals for your skin. It is a natural way to balance, protect, and restore the body and skin. I chose to add some natural food coloringbut this is totally optional. If you don’t want it, just use undyed sea salt.
